About Those Hills

About those hill repeats I wanted to run Saturday. It was 34 and clear at 10:00 a.m. YAY! I headed out. I made it 405 feet round trip. I just turned on my Garmin to see, lol. The sidewalks and shoulders of the road were so icy, I had no traction. Bummer.

So off to the gym I went and I did Cardio Coach #2 on the stationary bike. I'm half tempted to try Cardio Coach on the treadmill and see if that holds my interest.

Pete and I went out Saturday night with 3 other couples to ring in the new year. We had a lot of fun!

We got home around 1:30 a.m., and got up at 6:30 on Sunday morning to go for a New Year's Day street motorcycle ride. Only my bike wouldn't start. And he spent so much time working on it, that he didn't have time to still meet the people we were supposed to be riding with. So while we missed the scheduled group ride, when my bike did start about an hour later, we went on a shortened version, meeting the group at their lunch destination. It was about 55 miles there and back and in the 40's. We both were wishing for one more layer on the way out, but it was warmer on the return trip. It felt good to get out on the bike again. I hadn't realized how much I missed it.

I went back to the gym today, expecting to have to fight my way through and around the Resolutionaries. But they weren't there. I guess since today is a holiday for most, they slept in?

Today was chest and back:

DB Bench Press: 25'sX12, 30'sX5, 30'sX4, 30'sX4

DB Pullover: 30X10, 30X8, 30X8

Gravitron Dips: 90X12, 80X8, 80X8

Pulldowns, underhand grip, bar to chest: 90X8, 90X7.5, 90X5

Seated Row: 90X6, 90X7, 90X6

Oh, and I found out the trap bar weighs 51 pounds, so my deadlift is already over 120 for reps. Returning to bodyweight+ deadlifts should happen soon. YAY!
